Active Ingredient: Gemcitabine (as gemcitabine hydrochloride).

Description: An antineoplastic (chemotherapy) medicine belonging to the group of “anti-metabolites” known as nucleoside metabolic inhibitors. It is a clear, colorless to pale yellow solution that works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells.

Indication: Indicated for the treatment of several types of cancer:

• Bladder Cancer: In combination with cisplatin.
• Pancreatic Cancer: As a single agent or in combination therapy.
• Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC): Alone or in combination with cisplatin.
• Breast Cancer: In combination with paclitaxel for metastatic disease after failure of prior chemotherapy.
• Ovarian Cancer: In combination with carboplatin for advanced disease that has relapsed.

Strength: 100 mg/ml. (Available in various vial sizes, such as 200 mg/2 ml, 1000 mg/10 ml, 1500 mg/15 ml, and 2000 mg/20 ml).
