Description: Temozolomide Accord is a cytotoxic (anti-cancer) drug belonging to a group of medicines called alkylating agents. It is a generic version of the reference medicine Temodal. It comes in the form of hard capsules; the 100mg strength specifically consists of pink and white hard gelatin capsules imprinted with “TMZ” on the cap and “100” on the body.
Indication: It is indicated for the treatment of specific types of brain tumors:
- Adults: Newly-diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme (used first with radiotherapy and then as monotherapy).
- Adults and Children (3 years and older): Malignant gliomas, such as glioblastoma multiforme or anaplastic astrocytoma, that have returned or worsened after standard treatment.
